Marsha,
I'm not sure what to make of your response.
Does "Okay" imply agreement with what I said above it? Why the Deuteronomy
quote? I don't see the relevance and it seems to imply a
contradictory position
to "Okay."
I hesitate to respond until I understand your meaning ...
MP
Michael,
Obviously I failed to dispel your skepticism towards my wish for you
to receive an abundance of joy, which I believe was being
questioned. I want EVERYONE to have an abundance of joy. As for
'theism' and 'God', those concepts have no meaning for me
personally. I did provide a number of quotes by RMP indicating that
the MOQ was atheistic and anti-theistic which you choose to
ignore. The Deuteronomy quote was introduced to show a biblical
contradiction in your loving god in 1 Jn 4:16 and the merciless god
of Deuteronomy 7:1-2.
I do not denigrate one approach to love over another, but that does
not mean I need to embrace or accept every approach. Parents may
decide to love their children by beating goodness into them. I
wouldn't accept that approach and I would try to stop such a loving
expression. A person of power may ask me to prove my love by
forfeiting reason and experience. I wouldn't accept that approach to
love. I wouldn't accept the definition of love given by the bible
when there are such blatant contradictions concerning god's
love. Maybe now you get the idea.
Okay?
Marsha
