[KO] I should have been more precise - what i meant was how can we learn to recapture that sense of oneness that she experienced as the after effects of the stroke; and with my reference to verticality i was trying to suggest one way may be through giving more attention to how we wear our bodies. [Krimel] My question would be why in the world you would want to experience a massive stroke? People who have frontal lobe seizures report even more profound experiences of oneness and connection to the divine. Frankly I would rather have a brain seizure than a stroke any day but that's just my personal preference. Of course there are other ways of achieving feels of compassion and unity, years of staring at the wall in a lotus position are said to work. Magic mushrooms will do the trick. I suspect that it all comes down to brain chemistry and that all of these methods are ways of changing chemical balance in the brain. It must be some subtle cultural difference in word meaning... [KO] Zappa was immoral in the way he deliberately withheld the master tapes to Beefhearts 'Bat Chain Puller' album. [Krimel] To be honest 90% of Zappa and 200% of Beefheart just sounds like offensive noise to me.
