To those involved, I am on Platt's side here, I believe he was using the non-PC attitude of anti-Christianity as an example of where those PC folk talk out of both sides of their mouths. It is a political tool, hence the name. The tool is used by both sides to a point which drives me nuts, and people appear to be under an illusion that it is real.
I differentiate between the political tool, and common decency and respect, which appears to me to have nothing to do with PC. How can the manipulation of others involve respect? I would go so far as to say that PC has actually diminished our respect for others. It' has just created a bunch of whining individuals, and a fear of the PC Gestapo. George Orwell would be proud.
