Excellent point, John Carl. There is growing talk of secession from the union among some of the states, notably Texas and Vermont. The reasons vary but people naturally gravitate to like-minded people. I've heard that California might be better off breaking into three regions, with San Fransisco spun off as a domain all to itself. Something to think about.
