Hi, All!
IMHO, i believe that intuition (and good Art), Quality and Reality are, in the
end, the same. Nietzsche called this contemplation, "the return to the
self". He also defined man as "the power of will", which would be the
exit of this
contemplation. Today, authors like Fritjof Capra and Pirsig himself, together
with modern anthropology, have proven and expanded that sense of reality in a
more hollistic way. Although Nietzsche had started the process of amplifying
the notion of reality through language ("Truth and Lies under an extra-moral
sense", abstractionism and emotional sense, he only glimpsed what could be the
MOQ. I agree with the statements below.

What is also undeniable, but missed in the dialectics, is that the split

division is existentially insurmountable. So that what we do in our
"culture" or politics has no bearing on ultimate reality. (Sorry Platt and

But Uncle Hammy, I've addressed this question more than a few times and I've
never gotten any refutation back of my assertion that this assertion - "The
division is existentially insurmountable" - is itself IMPOSSIBLE to prove.
What usually happens when this ultimate mind/matter split is asserted, is
that the asserter finds it impossible to prove the connection and so they
think this proves the disconnection.
tsk tsk. That's not logic. That's not even sophistry. that's just pique.
