I suppose. As I said, finding linguistic contradiction in language is a kid's game. And when wielded well, a Koan. Everyone is familiar with the former, many the latter. I remember the day my daughter "discovered" the sentence "this statement is false", I could see the smoke coming from her ears (a la Mudd's Women). Zeno's paradoxes are still fun tavern topics. And if "all this is just an analogy" means that for some Pirsig is "profoundly incoherent" for setting himself up for a recursive linguistic contradiction, then so be it...
