Ron,

Well, there are no discovered boundaries to the Universe, but I am still
curious how "in principle" could apply to such an unknown. And "literally"?
That quote was from the fifth page of the prologue, not even the first
chapter. I'm already loving this book.

How about this:

"Bell himself once said that given the choice he would prefer to retain the
notion of objective reality and throw away the idea that signals cannot
travel faster than the speed of light."

Objective reality?

Maybe by the end of the book, I will be somewhat indoctrinated, but for now
this is really humorous. Maybe I'll log my questions, as they come up, into
my journal with some associated stream-of-consciousness writing. - I
promise I won't post it.

Rhetorical question? no...

Marsha

I need to ask about the wave of probability...

"There is a probability that you might find the electron here, and another
probability that you might find it there, but in principle it could turn up
literally anywhere in the Universe."
(Gribbin, John, Schrodinger's Kittens and the Search for Reality)

Two Question:

1.  Have the boundaries of the Universe been discovered?

2.  What is this 'in principle'?
