Absolutely. My review of Harris "End of Faith" I entitled "End of Faith in What ?" to make the same point. Just catching up from two weeks away, but I like what I see here. As Matt says, it's kinda "hope" ... a faith in some purpose ... living the now, but in a story with histories and futures of value.
