Andre, Life is that combination of materials that expresses a new latching of dynamic choices. Amoebas don't seem to exhibit a lot of choices in their existence, but they certainly exhibit more than the molecules of which they are composed.
Where does this come from? What sort of pulling together of elements produced this elementary life? If we postulate a force akin to gravity, clumping elements to create a new and more dynamic level, the product is what we call life and the force is DQ at the organic level - the code of art between the level of inorganic and organic. Next, we have society. I believe society starts its evolutionary development with mammalian bonding. Consciousness of self and other evolve in increasingly complex patterns till we get the intellectual code of art which produces philosophy. This philosophic 4th level only occurs in that special mammal - man, and that only rarely! When man takes the subject-object consciousness which produces his thinking as the ultimate ground of all being, we have SOM - the most elementary level of the 4th level of Philosophy. The highest levels of the 4th are unknowable. Right now, the MoQ is as high as I can go. There in a nutshell is where I'm at in my thinking. Thanks for asking! Now, I'm off to paint a house today.
