I've been thinking in terms of value for some years now. There are no
subjects and objects. They're only a convenient fiction, something
we're taught to believe our whole life. This teaching runs very
deep... just look at the energy Bo has expended over the years
perpetuating that belief through his every post.

Thinking in terms of subjects and objects is like believing in Santa
Claus. It's true that Santa Claus exists. No one can deny it. And it's
the same with subjects and objects. They exist. Yet, like Santa Claus,
they exist as a convenient fiction. Believe in them if you will... it
does no harm. Arguing about subjects and objects is like arguing over
the number of points on Santa's reindeer's antlers.

There are no objects, no things, in the world we call reality... there
are no subjects, no individuals; there is no community; there is
nothing of permanence. The world is composed of value... patterns of
value... all the way down.

This is very profound.

The world is an idea. And as such, we shape the world just by
thinking. Go ahead. Try it. Believe as most people do that the world
is composed of subjects and objects. Rail against the inequity.
Despise the corporations. The world is monolithic, imposing,
constructed of objects that are hard and unmoving.

Try believing now that the world is composed of value. The world is an
idea. It is like plastic... as soft and as pliable as your thoughts...
take it and mold it any way you want. All you have to do is believe -
it will happen without effort, without even trying. As the doors of
subjects and objects disappear, opportunities will present themselves
unasked for. The world will bend to your will.

What do you think?
