Well Platt, I certainly agree with Watler Pater's REASON for art, but I'm skeptical his reasoning and yours obviate my reasoning for reasoning.
But I'm no expert of course. As they say, I may not know art but I know what I like - the art of rhetorical ambiguity, for instance.
