Caught this out of the corner of my eye and reluctantly interrupt my
meanderings through the Chinese mind-set:

This is a huge misunderstanding on your part Bodvar. The MOQ is not out of
intellect! Reading and re-reading ZMM, Lila, and the Annotations in the LC plus
listening to the AHP tapes, I cannot find any reference by Mr. Pirsig that the
MOQ is a level which 'emerged' out of your SOM as intellect paradigm.
You have kidnapped the intellectual level to suit your interpretation of the
MOQ but, again, the MOQ is not out of (your) intellect. My guess, quite simply,
is that the MOQ is out of DQ/SQ which, as Mr. Pirsig has made clear at the
start of Lila, he converted (with full awareness of the contradictions this
implied) into a metaphysics and as such communicated it to us via the written
medium.
Nothing crappy about a mind OVER matter thing anywhere in Mr. Pirsig's
writings. A subjective Mind looking out over an Objective world. Where do you
get it from?
This has been mentioned before so I do not expect much constructive response.
Same as Ian's question to Mary about the 'room' for the Eastern mind-set inside
this Bodvarian intellect 'of ours'!! Or, for that matter, any intellectual
patterns that are not s/o.
Logically, poor Gautama was all wrong way back then, since, according to
Bodvar, Gautama could not have reached enlightenement because the intellectual
level (i.e. SOM) wasn't around then! And, according to Bodvar, there is only
one way to reach the Quality 'level', only one way to reach the proper
understanding of the MOQ, only one way to reach the path of Truth,
Enlightenment, the Void, Nothingness, Nirvana and that is through the SOL.
