I'm not sure why you think that no-one thinks in pictures. I'd say that we do it all the time - a combination of pictures (scenes from memory), sounds (music for example) and language (conversations etc.). We probably don't think in smells or tastes although these are strong memory triggers. Any particular reason why you think this? Or is it that you don't find yourself doing it.

interpretted&  that could not be done by another picture.
