Pirsig has described the devastating effect this has had upon our understanding
of nature's order and goes on to argue that: '...it's time to further an
understanding of nature's order by reassimilating those passions which were
originally fled from. The passions, the emotions, the affective domain of man's
consciousness,[the 'female aesthetic principle] are a part of nature's order
too'. (ZMM,p294)
The rational principle, (the 'Christ'/ Truth) is a species of the Good, ('Mary'
the aesthetic, emotional female principle).
Once this is properly understood and rectified (as in the MOQ)according each
their proper status (the rationally postulated and the immediately apprehended)
we can move a little closer to understanding the 'Eastern' religions. Once the
latter understand the rational/theoretical, postulated principle we can move
toward mutual understanding.
I doubt if we can expect this to come from within the Christian church itself.
They have too much to lose and will carry on their static, deceptive and
abusive, narrow minded practices. And not just targeting innocent 5-year olds.
