Dear no name: The mission of the fixed point foundation is to defend Christianity. Dawkins is a scientific materialist. As I understand it, Pirsig rejects both of those options. Instead, he offers a way to unify art, science and religion so that they are not at odds with each other. As I like to put it, the MOQ aims for beautiful science, intelligent art and religion that isn't threatened by either of those things.
