Platt to Horse, All:

After Pirsig specifically warned against issuing a Papal Bull,...

Andre:
Mr. Pirsig did not warn against anyhing. He suggested that 'the greatest
meaning can be given to the intellectual level [and let's be clear Platt: the
greatest meaning from the MOQ point of view] if it is confined to...'.

Mr. Pirsig suggested it is 'merely another opinion on the subject that it is
hoped will help'.

From the MOQ perspective this 'opinion' is very helpful.

The SOL as intellect interpretation is not.

Platt:
A triumph for political correctness. A sad day for free speech.

Andre:
Coming from you this is most unfortunate. It has to do with intellectual
'correctness'. It has to do with intellectual honesty...in this case arguing
from the perspective and understanding which most truthfully reflect Mr.
Pirsig's MOQ.

Platt:
Who would have imagined that a site guided by Dynamic Quality "whose only perceived
good is freedom" would come to this?

Andre:
If only you were applying this to yourself Platt. It seems to me that over the
years you and Bodvar have argued for a very strict, confining, single minded
use and application of this freedom.

Its 'perceived good' has been questioned by countless contributors over the
years including Mr. Pirsig himself.

As Adorno once said: freedom is never given, yet always threatened.
