Hi Mary

The rules of the forum are clearly posted on moq.org - although these are really very basic rules of etiquette. The most important rule of any mailing list is that the moderators decision is final - and it is expected that those joining a mailing list understand this. The moderator has the job of making sure that the mailing list is run in the best interests of all members. Any member that doesn't trust the moderator to do this really shouldn't be a member of that list - it all comes down to trust. No moderator will please everyone all the time and will, as a consequence of their decisions, have to put up with a certain amount of disagreement. Having said that, no moderator should ever have to put up with abuse for doing what they consider to be the right thing - that, in my opinion, is grounds for instant and permanent removal.

I can't force anyone to remain a member of MD but anyone that does wish to remain a member should remember and consider the above. That's not a threat - just the way things are. If anyone on MD thinks that my decisions are biased, frivolous or arbitrary etc. then you don't trust me - so leave. It's not what I want but probably best all round if that's the case.
