I think your conclusion here is a bit premature. Why must we use analogy and
metaphor? Why not just use the levels? They can be defined without analogy or
metaphor more or less as Pirsig describes in Lila.

That only serves to show that reality is dynamic. And of course we can't make a
complete map of reality, but the levels are not a map, they are the legend that
explains the symbols on the map.
