Horse, Marsha, (Ham, John, Mark,) Horse, I'll make sure to give the short version here. I haven't been here very long, but more, I don't know what kind of involvement I might keep. First, thanks for hosting this, Horse! Thanks for your efforts.
You know, better than I do (I'm sure), that I fit in amongst the 'misfits' here. Almost exclusively in fact. I have hardly taken part in a conversation with other than Mark, Marsha, Ham, and John (there have been noteworthy exceptions of course). Don't take it lightly that your forum has provided us such a high quality experience. If you are running low on some psychic reserve that we might supply I'm sure none of us will hesitate to say how much we have appreciated the opportunity you have afforded us (Mark, Marsha, Ham, John, let me know if I have done you an injustice here). ANyway, the point is that I (and if I can presume so much about the other mistfits I know) do find high quality discussion here. IF there were to be a problem with someone I had never talked with, I would just advise you that in this corner it seems fine, so... if there was something I could do to help over there, cool, let me know; but if what I was talking about over here with the other misfits was inherently a problem... well, that would be a shame. Seems ... well, I don't want to tell you your job, or how to run your forum, do as you like, but I think that Mark, Marsha, Ham, John and I will all of us agree: we find high quality here, thanks, Horse; ... Well, I really should only speak for myself: I see no need for you to waste your time and energy taking any action against Marsh. As frustrated as you, and others, might be, such frustration is in itself proof of her quality. People don't get worked up for nothing. People find quality in running into the wall that is Marsha; we learn from it. And, though we walk away frustrated, we come back because we find quality there. Its just that it is frustrating. But Horse, please, if 'frustrating' is a problem (boot Ham out!), advise those who are so frustrated to take a breather. I hope you are laughing, Ham. But Horse, just like you can do as you like, because it is your forum... in conversation everyone here can do as he likes; and people choose to converse with Marsha, willingly. And even if someone came here, posted all sorts of garbage, got no responses, and kept going unphased, isn't his effort proof enough that he finds some quality sufficient to make you at least consider leaving him be? Anyway, Horse, it is your forum, what kind of forum do you want? I thank you for the opportunity I have had. Thank you, sincerely. I don't know how much I will be involved going forward. But, for me, this forum was what it was for the 'mistfits'. IF you didn't have them I think this forum would not have done anything for me - would I have been ignored from the start, until I left because there was nothing here for me? I guess I'm just wondering what it is you see that needs dealing with. I see no problem with Marsha's behavior here. In fact, I think she takes more than her fair share of karmic garbage. If her wall is too ... why can't it be tolerated (at least)? I get frustrated with Marsha too sometimes, but frustration is just frustration, right? The point is the Quality, right? If you start sacrificing quality to ease mere frustration, where is that gonna lead? Which forum do you want? sincerely, Tim On Sat, 01 Jan 2011 01:16:58 +0000, "Horse" <[email protected]> said: > OK Platt - you've decided to play the wind up game have you. > Fine. > From the post that I previously mentioned and which you seem to have > ignored yet again: > > "If you think it's amusing or clever to take the piss out of me, > criticize me, accuse me of censorship or generally make unpleasant, > derogatory or insulting remarks for doing my best to do my job (and > do it properly and well) as administrator of this list then you will > discover that you won't be participating in MD discussions any longer. > Similarly, if you want to play stupid word games with me over one of > my decisions or try and provoke or antagonise me for doing my job as > administrator you'll be removed without any warning whatsoever." > > Since I wrote the above I have given you and Marsha chance after chance. > That stops now.
