Yes, within the framework of the MoQ what you say is correct, but 
then that framework is an analogy.

Nourishing food and clean water are biological requirements. I was 
thinking more of desires of the social/intellectual type.

No.  It's not so simple since I was raised, indoctrinated,  to desire, and 
have had to unlearn many such habits.  This might point back to having 
the vail of illusion lifted.
