Some of the best films for me.

The Deer Hunter. Not for the "Mau" scene, but the Russian orthodox background
shining true in the beginsequences, the patriotism, the idealism, all those
nice threads.

The last of the Mohicans,..extremely love the geographical setting, the
surroundings of the Great Lakes, the Hudson, Albany. The part i'd love mostly
is this where Chingachcook and Long Carabine are on a mountainsummit
adressing the gods , as Sjamans , really.,
(Had a girl once,26 years ago, who was the spitting image of Madelin Stowe,
never forgot her,but i will spare you the details.)

The Red Lantern, Chinese, superb movie, long, slow, absolute masterpiece.

"Jean De Florette", berri version, French, on the edge of geniality, goes
without words

And Sequel, superb, masterpiece,(Berri version)
"Manon Des Sources", brutal, native,archaic.

It took my attention David, that when you reflected upon Dean Summers, your
conversation with him was about movie's mostly.i consider him as highly
intelligent.
