Hey Mark,

What goes around, comes around. You butt in on Ham, and now I'm butting in
on you!

I know you won't mind.

John ceremoniously butting in:

"goodness we can know" is the key point here Mark. And I think Ham is
right. However, knowing something implies it exists outside of us, and
there I think Ham is wrong. He places it solely in our experience, whereas
in order for it to be in our experience, it plainly must exist outside of
our experience in order for us to be able to get to know it.

John: Oops! Wrong again! It is the perception of others that is the most
important and "best" guide to future experience. After all, if a woman
thinks of herself as ugly, but everyone else thinks she is beautiful - it is
her beauty in the eyes of her beholders which will control her fate.

John:

Touche! Take that, Ham.

ok, let's call it a draw. Or an even match.
