Just wading through it all dave, and I wondered at something you said:

dmb:

The motives and aims are so entirely different that it's not hard to tell,
you know? Why was that Brujo peeping into windows? Was he just a sexual
deviant looking for some flesh or was he seeking somebody's unguarded truth.
It makes all the difference, you know?

John:

I'm wondering if there really is a difference? That perhaps the stronger
the sublimated drive, the more profound the results of the sublimation in
its results. A strong biological urge to see the other in the flesh, when
repressed by social forces, results in a refreshing new look at those social
forces and underlies the seeking of truth. The seeming "difference" is in
actuality essential. I think the MoQ sheds light upon this, seeing a strong
individual drive, manifesting at different levels.

But all in all, I'm enjoying this dialogue. I'm with Ian and glad to see
such intelligent conversation breaking out all over the place.
