Dan: I fail to see how this comports with my original post... David widened the discussion from amateur philosophy to include other artists. It was my intention to expand on the difference between the professional vs the amateur in any artistic endeavor, including, though not necessarily limited to, philosophy. I'm unsure if I made any good points though I will take your word for it.
