Hi Joe, All that I am saying is that all definitions are Provisional. That is, they are agreed on ways of sharing information. Provisional means that we create definitions that we find useful within a specific setting. In Math, terms are created that can be useful in physics. In physics, measurements are made that may be useful to a way of life. In metaphysics, definitions are created that impart meaning in a specific setting. There is no fundamental thing as an inch, for example. We define such a thing because it is useful. An inch has no meaning in Spain, it is a useless definition.
If one states that DQ is undefined, this means that one does not want to discuss DQ. As far as I can tell, we want to discuss DQ. Definition are practical and pragmatic. The way you use "undefined", Joe, seems to be in a more mysterious way than I am used to. Perhaps a sense of the mystical is conveyed with your use of undefined. I am not sure how you are using this word. A definition is something we make up to represent a thought. If something is undefined, we cannot share our thoughts with others. MoQ is designed to share thought on DQ and all sorts of other things. We must always be sure not to confuse the definition with what it represents.
