Hi Arlo, No, I'm not interested in a bio-reductionist view. I am interested in basic duality of human perspective.
I had a personal experience with an on the job accident, 13 years ago, where my median nerve was 99% severed at my left elbow. My Doctor predicted that I'd never again have motor function in my left hand - or at least my index and middle fingers and my thumb and any guitar player can tell you that's disastrous. But it turns out that playing music maps nerves to different parts of the brain and thus I was able to rebuild those neural pathways and now I have pretty good function in my left hand, despite my injury. This made me interested in brain mapping apart from metaphysical discussion. But however you wanna map it, there are two distinct ways in which we humans process information and I think the labels "romantic" and "classic" work well to describe these two different ways.
