Hi David, Struan & Group, David said: > There has been a question as to how we can originate out of DQ and at > the same time the thrust of all evolution is a return to DQ. But if one > imagines the MOQ as the playful dance between DQ and SQ, I think that > question becomes meaningless. It is not so much about the beginning and > the end so much as a constant back and forth, a dialogue of creation and > sacrifice. I like the back and forth metaphor, David. I've been thinking about this for a while. I think maybe Struan originally posed the question a week or so ago. What I've come up with is that there is really no contradiction in saying the universe originated out of DQ and struggles to return to it at the same time. The thing that is responding to DQ is a static pattern. When the universe was formed the only static patterns existing were inorganic. If you ask a static inorganic pattern to respond to a Social level DQ advance, for instance, it makes no sense. It can't do it because it has no frame of reference for Social level values. The inorganic can only respond to kinds of DQ it can deal with. Same is true for all levels. It seems to me that there is infinite DQ out there, but that the static hierarchy has to be sufficiently advanced to even consider taking advantage of it. So, in this way the Universe was formed from a response to Inorganic DQ, and continues to strive for higher and higher levels of DQ. Or, put another way, you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. - Mary MOQ Online Homepage - http://www.moq.org Mail Archive - http://alt.venus.co.uk/hypermail/moq_discuss/ Unsubscribe - http://www.moq.org/md/index.html MD Queries - [EMAIL PROTECTED]
