Roger,
I was never stationed at Navy Pier during WW11 but I had a number of
friends who went through radio school there. I am curious about its
physical properties. Is it actually built on a pier? I have trouble getting
my mind around a facility built over the water that was large enough to
contain a Navy Base. Can you give me a short description of it? Ken.
