Diana - great post about Jarret and writing - I'm the same way as a playwright. Or at least most of the time. My best work comes when I get out of the way of the creative process - meaning that I let the images flow from the Creative Spirit (ether, God, Life...or whatever name you wish to insert). The times I think I know best and try to force the creation to fit into my pre-concieved mold are the times the work seems forced (only right, isn't it?) Glenn - thanks for taking my post in the spirit it was proffered. My only comment is in regards to your statement "So do me a favor and "sniff" the next time you read passages from Lila, especially when he's bashing SOM. Maybe you'll start smelling what I smell." - My goal when I read Lila (or any other book/metaphysical treatise, etc) is to try on whatever they have to offer and see what happens. I don't think Pirsig's theories are the "end all/be all" of life or understanding reality, but they did give me much to think about. I don't think any of us can fully understand reality/life/the universe/etc, because it is beyond us and includes that which is beyond our possible experience as physical/mortal beings. The best we can do is to do our best to understand and grow. I think too many folks get too hung up on proving their opinions about what is right/true/real and forget to consider that which is outside their comfort zones. Lord knows that I'm guilty of that far too often - but I'm doing my best :o) Be Good Shalom David Lind Trick MOQ.ORG - http://www.moq.org Mail Archive - http://alt.venus.co.uk/hypermail/moq_discuss/ MD Queries - [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe from moq_discuss follow the instructions at: http://www.moq.org/md/subscribe.html
