Maybe.  What I think Ted Bundy did have, now that we're on the subject, was 
tremendous value.  Bundy had opinions about what made him what he was.  At 
the point when he began to talk about what he felt were contributing factors, 
he was not trying to save his own life.  It was beyond that.  He was 
articulate.  He might have added to our understanding of what goes on in this 
kind of sociopathy.  He might not have, of course.  But rather than explore 
this possibility, we killed him.  Quite apart from my general opposition to 
the death penalty, I think in this case we might have done ourselves a real 
disservice.
