I totally agree your sheedness, what I wrote isn't as clear as I could have
made it, re-read it in the light of someone who is against the death
penalty, sorry.

i started this whole death penaly discussion relating it to the moq, if you
will read my first dp post. and statistics show that capital punishment has
not in fact been a significant deterrent to crime. as for the murder
conviction thing you mentioned, i didnt say that i wasnt in favor of
increasing sentence length for murder convictions. even at a monetary
level,
it costs more money to taxpayers to execute somebody than keep him in prison
for the remainder of his life.

i dont quite understand why by simply executing a violent criminal would
prevent him from influencing another individual from following his thought
patterns any more than keeping him in solitary confinement for the rest of
his life would. when the two columbine shooters (i refuse to mention their
names, because that's the reason they did it in the first place) killed
themselves, that only increased media coverage for them and caused more
attention-starved high schoolers to crave that same publicity. so in my
opinion death is not necessarily an end to the influence a person can carry
over other potential criminals.
