It's a static intellectual pattern. To state that there's a self conscious

I dont think that self-consciousness falls under the static category. Self
consciousness is Dynamic because the self is Dynamic. And do we ever attain
full self-consciousness? As for the 2nd part of your statement, maybe even
*naming* DQ is diminishing it. My history teacher and i often discuss ZAMM,
and one thing he often points out is that throughout Pirsig's entire journey
to find the meaning of Quality in ZAMM, he discovered essentially nothing
new: Lao Tzu knew of it, Buddha knew of it, etc. So i think DQ is just
another name for something that has been around for years and has been
discovered by many people as well. But, damn, even tho you say calling DQ
'God' doesn't change a lot, im still struggling with that whole idea.
