[Marsha] Why are Ron's posts being ignored? [Arlo] Here's one of those examples where agreement tends to create silence, and it shouldn't, but I tend to post more to point out disagreement than to nod (or sometimes to make a funny) unless I am asked a direct question.
I have always thought the overtones of insanity were meant to parallel the story of Phaedrus from ZMM. In both books, "insanity", or "going outside the mythos" is the "key" to unveiling a discovery that would otherwise remain obscured by static quality. I've seen Lila as the symbolic "dynamic" to Phaedrus' "static", and I think Ron (or was it you? or Mark?) is correct in overlaying upon this typical gender roles (or energies). Pagan views of the feminine typically revolve around three centers or archetypes; mother, maiden, whore, crone. Lila, I believe, was meant to synthesize these elements in a way typically akin to modern male fantasy. I had not thought about Lila as The Indian, but find Ron's comment in this regard quite interesting. I'll try to be more thoughtful about responding in agreement and not always out of disagreement. Ron, I do appreciate and value your posts. moq_discuss mailing list Listinfo, Unsubscribing etc. http://lists.moqtalk.org/listinfo.cgi/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org Archives: http://lists.moqtalk.org/pipermail/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org/ http://moq.org.uk/pipermail/moq_discuss_archive/
