As for here in toronto, there is no public collection system for claiming
items such as popcans , etc(although there are recycling depots, ive never
been/seen one). We have a return on our beer bottles/cans , and just this
month added that for liquor and wine bottles.
the success story comes from the brewer retail outlets(aka the Beer Store)
that have maintained a 98% rate of return on all bottles. makes me feel
good anyways....
definitely some more reform to the system needed though.
