Mr. Carter is a great man and I for one think that he did as well as anyone 
could have done during the times of his Presidency. He has done so much good

for our country and has been so unappreciated and yet he's never once 
complained about it. A true southern gentleman. History will remember him 
kindly.

[Case]
It may be hard for some to remember but there was a time when Americans
expected high standards from public servants. When politicians lied or
engaged in corruption, we could still muster a sense of outrage. Now it is
routinely expected that if their lips are moving they must be lying. I
recall thinking at the time Colin Powell was selling the current war to the
UN that this must be true since the administration could not be so stupid as
to lie to us about something this serious. I guess I found out who the
stupid one was...
