[M] Not quite sure about your last paragraph. No one see's Marsha's paintings. Painting is a very intimate experience and the painting's themselves are not for anyone else.
[Arlo] I was just using you as an example, rather than say Gentileschi. [M] They are not profound. [Arlo] I appreciate the intimate nature of your endeavor. But I'd only point out that "profound" is a cultural proclamation usually tied to the success the artwork has in bringing viewers to the art-experience (flow, as I think of it). [M] Since realizing the mythos and logos are illusion, I play with my own symbolism. Illusion is MY sandbox. At the same time, I am too often a toy in the "Culture's" illusionary sandbox. I'm sure this sounds nuts, but I don't much care. Maybe I will find a better way to express this. [Arlo] It doesn't sound nuts. moq_discuss mailing list Listinfo, Unsubscribing etc. http://lists.moqtalk.org/listinfo.cgi/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org Archives: http://lists.moqtalk.org/pipermail/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org/ http://moq.org.uk/pipermail/moq_discuss_archive/
