Platt, "The issue is what constitutes "foul." I consider Arlo's motorcycle to emit foul noises and think the government out to require at solution at the source (a muffler) not only under the principle you cite, but under the principle of equality before the law. (Cars are required to have mufflers.) Further, jet airplanes foul the air the noise AND oil residues, so I gather you would favor grounding the airlines."
I think Arlo was just trying to getcha all whooped up...most states have emissions and noise ordinance laws "straight pipes" Are for the most part outlawed these days ..they make your bike run crappy too. You blow your horsepower out your pipes getting Lousy gas milage. I ride, I have gripes with the new onslaught of "rookie riders" "revers" and proliferation of "rubs" as we old timers like to call'em (Rich urban bikers)with more money than experience looking to play "biker" on the weekends. They give us "enthusiasts" a bad name. They are usually demarked by a brand new American chopper type ride or new H-D, no helmet, tank top, shorts and sandals. There are Two types of riders, those who have fallen and those who haven't fallen yet. -[x] moq_discuss mailing list Listinfo, Unsubscribing etc. http://lists.moqtalk.org/listinfo.cgi/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org Archives: http://lists.moqtalk.org/pipermail/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org/ http://moq.org.uk/pipermail/moq_discuss_archive/
