> [Case] > It is their view of the causes that is questioned. [Ian] Hurrah, we got there - "Causation". That non-trivial issue, over-simplified by too many people - scientists as well as politicians.
[Case] I do not think scientists oversimplify causation at all. In fact when it comes to the idea of correlation not being equal to causation, there is no fussier bunch than scientists. They tend to nit pick this to death. It is the source of a great many scientific disputes in all areas of science. Oversimplification of these kinds of arguments does indeed lead to much misunderstanding and misrepresentation. moq_discuss mailing list Listinfo, Unsubscribing etc. http://lists.moqtalk.org/listinfo.cgi/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org Archives: http://lists.moqtalk.org/pipermail/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org/ http://moq.org.uk/pipermail/moq_discuss_archive/
