The division of Quality into Dynamic/static is, as Pirsig says, a contradiction in terms, a convenience for the sake of writing a metaphysics. When you recognize there is no division between experience and values -- that what is is Quality -- then you avoid all contradictions and logical absurdities and just hear the music.
