I'm not saying I agree with the idea that the best humanity has to offer

I agree with you. We, collectively and individually, are informed by
all experiences (read inorganic, biological, social, intellectual,
emotional, and mystical). But this is contrary to the MoQ, isn't it?

As far as the levels go, yes, I would place intellect at the top of the
heirarchy simply because
It seems emotion is subordinate to intellect. Mystical to me, seems not
so much a level but
An emotion expressed by the intellect. Intellect in MOQ terms, to me, is
the court room.
