Jos,
While I don't believe in god, and I thought the article was just fabulous, I
wonder what buffaloes were "thinking" when they selectively mimicked the
lead buffalo running off a cliff, instead of not running off cliff, which
was their normal behavior? Do you think they were able to get in the lead
buffaloes head? Sure humans caused the stampede, but then humans caused the
"thinking" behavior in dogs too. Typical, humans make something {happen} and
then somehow are able to say it exists without us, but then if you believe
reality exists independent of humans...well anything could be reality.
I wonder if dogs know how a lever works without humans? Because normally
levers don't deliver food to dogs, do they? I could spiral into complete
sarcasm at the ridiculousness of this study, and nobody really needs that -
so let me state as a person that doesn't believe in a higher power, but does
realize the high power of man, animals don't think, humans do.
Micah
Well its no surprise to me, what say the god squad?, (I mean learned
proponents of metaphysics rooted in human primacy)
