Thats strange, above you seemed to accept that they did but qualified by the assertion that it was derived from human contact. Is your line is blurring? What happens if a chimp (say) learns (under the careful tuteliage of man) to use a lever, and passes that knoweldge on to its offspring. Is that "thinking" characteristic still perculiar to the man or is it now "proprietry" to chimps? (you must presumably be aware of the well documented cultural differences between neighbouring animal groups of the same species)??
