To release and repress, one still must experience
the intense emotion. It is how one experiences the
intense emotion that provides our desired outcome. I
remember while in the woods one night sitting by a
fire and I thought people where coming with torches
walking through the woods. I sat thinking they
weren't coming my direction, but then the red glow was
coming closer. I put out the fire I sat by. I sat
and sang quietly to calm my nerves. While I sat,
singing I began to rock back and forth in fear. I
stood up and the glow came closer. I focused upon how
these people are still in the distance and are not
coming right toward me, but what if they hear me. I
rocked uncontrollably, singing, fearful, and trying to
focus on they will just walk right by and nothing will
happen. This fear will pass, I'm ok, and then I saw
the glow was higher in the sky. I peered through
branches in an opening in the trees... the glow, it
was... a red-orangish moon and the way the hill is
shaped it appeared, that night, that the moon was
walking the hill top with the summer trees in the way.
Concentrate on staying calm, I picture this calmness
as still water. No matter what force is exerted to
run through the water - I will still slow down, the
emotions will slow down and eventually tire and
stop/calm. This is an analogue.
windy today,
SA
