Ha, nice one Platt,

In your rush to turn everything into a liberal vs conservative agenda
- in your new found specialist role as commentator on NHS issues in
the British press (two subjects in which I suspect you are a novice -
don't talk to me about quality in immediate aesthetic experience when
it suits you - you contemptible evil fraud) - you miss the fact that
this forum is about philosophical issues - not headlines that sell
copy.

The real point is that the terms "as a result of" and "caused by" are
just useless concepts for intelligent debate about an issue like this.
And statistics ? ... nuff said.

I really do not care whether the UK stats are "better" (ie bigger or
smaller, nothing to do with quality, notice) than Italy, Austria, USA,
Costa Rica or Slovenia. What I care about is debate that improves
decision-making in health care - or any complex human situation,
anywhere. Your agenda is much more obvious and stuck in an ancient rut
Platt.
