Hi Platt, If you see nudity closely associated with the sexual act, then I suspect you've been socialized to see it that way. During the Victorian period, to see a woman's ankles was thought to promote sexual associations. I was thinking more of Meet The Press, with Tim Russet interviewing Dick Cheney. Both sitting there in their birthday suit. Hahahahaha Hardly a sexual image, and might even do a lot to promote reading. I thought Saving Private Ryan was an important anti-war film, but I don't think it appropriate for television. It's the constant violence that sets up patterns of violence. Nudity constantly placed within a sexual context promotes sexual patterns. I'm sure you know what I'm suggesting, a little sense of responsibility to civic life rather than the abandonment of principles for the profit margin.
