Hi Folks

Thanks for the extra votes over the last 24 hours or so - the voting was a bit close.
I had originally intended to vote for #3 but as this would have produced a 3-way draw
I had to
choose either #1 or #4 as a tiebreaker.
I chose #1 in order to give a modicum of relief from some fairly intense debates over
the last
few months and seeing as there's likely to be plenty of politics on the news and
elsewhere
this month with the US elections coming up it might be a good idea to chill out and
reflect on
how the MoQ has affected each of us.
So this months Topic is:

NOVEMBER TOPIC
In order to bring a pragmatic element into the discussion, state how Lila has
affected our
lives from a personal perspective.

Take advantage of this month long opportunity to reflect and ponder as I'll probably
re-post
the 3 losing topics at the end of the month.

Discussion facillitator for November is Diana.

Here's how the rest of the voting went.

What is an appropriate MoQ response to the continued and relentless attack on
democracy
by multinational corporations, their friends in government and their cover operations
such as
the World Bank and the World Trade Organisation? Is it peaceful civil disobedience, an
armed response, something in-between (the battle in Seattle etc.) or what? Can
intellect
defeat society without a little help from biology, or are we, as the saying goes
totally stuffed?

#3 Horse 3 VOTES
Is it possible to reconcile the ideas of Democracy and Freedom within the MoQ? Freedom
from static patterns would seem to be the highest form of morality within the MoQ but
subservience to and acceptance of the static patterns of democracy appears to be rife.
Is
there a crisis of belief here?
Swati Nagar/Magnus Berg/Nathaniel Schmidt

#4 Horse 4 VOTES
According to what we know of the MoQ so far, what would be the most moral form of
government. We should not confine ourselves to known or accepted forms by which we are
currently governed but to what would be the BEST form of government our imagination
could
provide and still remain workable.
