Hi,

I am PhD student on mrphometrics and I am working with Julien. He is
really expert in R and I see that every body in the institute of
evolutionary science of Montpellier 2 university (ISEM) is searching him
to ask something on R. I have just read some chapters of the book and I
find it is great and worth to buy. I do recommend it. Using this book, I
feel I need no more software; R really does whatever I want.

You can download all the necessary functions for GM analyses from his
webpage "http://www.isem.cnrs.fr/IMG/txt/Rfunctions.txt
<http://www.isem.cnrs.fr/IMG/txt/Rfunctions.txt>” or you can simply copy
and paste this address in R Console before starting to perform your
analyses.

Regards,

Roohollah

    Dear Rebeca,

I'd thoroughly recommend it. I use R but am not an expert and the
book drew my attention to a number of features, such as the image
handling and landmarking capabilities of R, that I wasn't aware of.
There's lots of code to use and modify to your own ends. One
drawback is that the packages featured in the book authored by Michel
Baylac haven't been released on CRAN yet and I haven't been able to
obtain them direct from the author. However the code these functions
is in the book so it's not much a problem.

    regards

    Mark
