Dear morphometers, I have a rather basic question, but perhaps someone has an opinion on this. I would like to investigate the shape and form differences among mammal taxa using 3D landmark data. The shape analysis is quite straightforward, but it is unclear to me how to investigate the form differences. One idea that comes to mind is to use the adjusted Procrustes coordinates along with centroid size to run a PCA, for instance. However, since form differences are already computed during the Procrustes analysis, I am wondering whether I can use a specific R package or script to assess form differences, or if using the adjusted Procrustes coordinates and centroid size is a valid procedure for evaluating them.
Thank you very much for your opinions. With kind regards, Paolo -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Morphmet" group.
