Incursioné en el "mundo de la morfometría" hace ya 17 años, gracias a la
recomendación de Antonio García Valdecasas. En México era una herramienta
totalmente nueva, prácticamente inicié a tientas leyendo y revisando
compendios, memorias de congresos y por supuesto las publicaciones del Dr.
Bookstein, que debo confesar, no alcanzaba a comprender del todo;
finalmente tuve la guía de Efraín de Luna y logré terminar mi tesis de
doctorado. Seguí en el área, y hoy día considero la morfometría como el
área de la biología de más alcance, bueno, quizás estoy siendo un poco
fantasiosa, pero sin duda es para mi la más apasionante y la que me ha
permitido conocer de muchos más organismos y fenómenos biológicos.
Gracias al doctor Bookstein, descanse en paz y todos los que han seguido
contribuyendo a la formación de ésta hermosa disciplina.
Aprovecho para enviar un gran abrazo a todos.
