Dear Morphometricians, New versions of the programs in my "Multivar" series, LINDA (for linear discriminant analysis with randomization), JACKIE (PCA with jackknife) and MANTEL (comparison of distance matrices) are available for downloading from the SUNY Morphometrics Web server. These new versions correct an annoying bug which prevented the programs from finding the help file by pressing the F1 key (even if it was there and could be easily accessed using the Windows Explorer). The help files have also been slightly updated. Please send me any comments, suggestions, and bug reports. I want to acknowledge Prof. Rohlf for his continuing support, by allowing the MULTIVAR programs to be made available to the morphometrics research community via the SUNY server, and for inspiration (see the resemblance in the user interface among the MULTIVAR programs and the several programs in TPS series). Any user who finds the MULTIVAR programs useful should be deeply grateful to Prof. Rohlf as well.
